Mary Kay Letourneau’s life took an unexpected and terrible turn, converting her from a regular woman into a figure surrounded by scandal and legal consequences.

Letourneau wed Steve Letourneau in 1984, and they had four children together.

However, they faced difficulties in their marriage, ultimately resulting in their split in 1999.

While Letourneau was employed at Shorewood Elementary School in Burien, Washington, her life changed significantly.

She was entangled in a controversy that would shock the country.

Letourneau crossed moral boundaries that should never be crossed by forming an improper relationship with one of her students, Vili Fualaau, when he was 12.

Their inappropriate relationship turned sexual when Vili was just 13 years old.

Did Mary Kay Letourneau Cheat On Vili? Or Did Vili Cheat On Her?

Mary Kay Letourneau was known for her illegal relationship with Vili, who was just 12 years old.

She cheated on her first husband, Steve Letourneau, with her little student Vili, which was discovered in 1996.

According to police reports, she was found in a car backseat, having intimate relations with Vili, and gave false reports of his age, suggesting 18 years while he was just 13.

The lady was eventually arrested and pleaded guilty in 1997 to two counts of second-degree child rape and sentenced to six months prison term.

Moreover, as part of her plea deal, she agreed not to have any contact with Vili, but they continued their relationship.

Therefore, Mary was arrested again in 1998 for violating the plea deal terms and received seven years imprisonment.

Later, in 1999, she divorced her first husband, Steve Letourneau.

Letourneau’s prison sentence ended in 2004, and subsequently, she married Vili Fualaau the following year.

Due to the vast age difference, their marriage got widespread attention and media speculations.

However, the couple eventually separated after 14 years of their marriage in 2017 and filed for divorce in 2019.

Despite their separation, Fualaau was a kind and loving person who was there for her during her final days.

Letourneau left this world in 2020 due to cancer and left behind all the controversies that she suffered during her time.

Mary Kay Letourneau, who already had four children from her first marriage to Steve, also had children with Vili.

She and Vili created a loving family of four, including their two beautiful daughters.

After getting married in 2005, the couple resided in Seattle with their daughters, Audrey and Georgia.

Audrey was born in 1996 when Mary was in prison waiting for her initial sentence for second-degree rape.

She was 34 during her birth, and Audrey’s father, Vili, was just 13 years old at that time.

Following her guilty plea, Letourneau was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison.

However, she was released on parole in 1998 after serving about six months under the condition that she would not have any contact with Fualaau.

The couple’s relationship continued after Letourneau’s release, and they eventually had a second child, Georgia, in October 1998.

Fualaau became the father of two beautiful girls by 15, and after getting married to Mary, they stayed together as a loving family.

However, during her final days, she was survived by her husband, Vili, and their two daughters, who took good care of her.

Unfortunately, Mary succumbed to death due to cancer and left behind a loving partner and her children.

Her life was tragically cut short on July 6, 2020, at the age of 56 years.
