Norma Kent Banks Williams, aged 87, peacefully departed at Sentara Princess Ann Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, on December 2, 2023.

Her loved ones and community will commemorate her life at the Celebration of Life Service on December 10 at 1:00 pm.

The service will be held at Pleasant Branch MB Church in Powells Point, NC, where Norma will find her final resting place in the church cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 9 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.

Norma, born to the late George H. Banks and Senie Harvey Banks, was the cherished wife of the late George Lee Williams.

Left behind are three devoted daughters: Patricia Shannon (Eric), residing in Grandy, NC, Juilet Reid (Thomas) in Seaford, DE, and Beatrice Banks in Brooklyn, NY.

Norma’s legacy extends through the generations with six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by four sisters, Clara Jean Banks, Cordelia Riddick (John), Melva Banks, and Phyllis Brown, and a brother, John Timothy Banks.

A host will fondly remember Norma’s nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
