Dejon Noel-Williams, who gained significant attention as a contestant on Love Island 2025, has reacted to the surge of online criticism he encountered during and following his villa experience. Departing from the show shortly before the final episode with his girlfriend Meg Moore, the personal trainer discussed the “hate” he endured while also acknowledging the supportive messages that sustained him.
In an emotional Instagram message, he recounted the ups and downs of his reality TV adventure, igniting discussions about fan behavior, villa drama, and whether his relationship with Meg can endure beyond the show.

Dejon’s Candid Response to Online Criticism
In a heartfelt Instagram statement, Dejon acknowledged the backlash but focused on the positives.
“Thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown me during my time on Love Island,”
he wrote.
“This journey has been a whirlwind, and despite facing a lot of negativity, the outpouring of love and support I’ve received has truly been incredible.”
The 26-year-old admitted his communication wasn’t always perfect, saying,
“The entire experience taught me a lot about myself… my communication wasn’t always ideal, and it’s something I plan to improve upon.”
Despite the challenges, he called it “the summer of my life,” highlighting the friendships and love he found.
Fans had mixed reactions. Some criticized his behavior, with one viewer tweeting,
“Dejon probably fuming he didn’t get the £25k cos now he gotta tolerate Meg for a few months on the outside.”
Others defended him, praising his honesty 1.
Why Were Dejon and Meg Voted Off?
Their departure followed a dramatic twist when former Islanders voted them as the “least compatible” couple. This decision came after a tense moment during the “Knowing Me, Knowing You” challenge, where Dejon named Yasmin instead of Meg as the person he’d choose to couple up with outside of their relationship 29.
Dejon wasn’t surprised by the outcome, saying,
“I wasn’t shocked to leave because of the timing of mine and Meg’s argument… but I know what we have is real.”
Meg echoed this, stating their real test begins now:
“Proving to everyone we are actually going to stay together.
What’s Next for Dejon and Meg?
The couple plans to introduce each other to their families, with Dejon saying,
“I can’t imagine not living with her.”
Whether they can silence the doubters remains to be seen, but for now, Dejon is focusing on growth—both personally and in his relationship.
