Irish influencer Rachel Gorry has reassured fans after a whirlwind week that saw both her and her daughter hospitalized.
The expectant mother, soon to welcome twins with partner Adrien Kiernan, provided a touching update from her hospital bed, emphasizing that in spite of the upheaval, her family is now “doing great”.

A Hectic Week for the Gorry Family
Rachel’s update followed a series of distressing events. Just days before her own hospitalization, her 10-year-old daughter, Holly, experienced a terrifying seizure—the first she had ever had. The incident deeply unsettled the family, with Rachel calling it “the scariest night of our lives”.
In her own words:
“We faced the scariest night of our lives on Wednesday, rushing into Holly’s room after hearing choking noises. Holly had never had a seizure before, and it was like nothing I’d ever witnessed.”
Fortunately, Holly made a full recovery, though the emotional impact was significant. Rachel confessed she couldn’t discuss the episode without tears, still shaken by the memory of her daughter during the seizure.
Rachel’s Hospital Stay and Pregnancy Update
During this family crisis, Rachel was also hospitalized, although she minimized the seriousness. From her hospital room, she reassured her followers:
“What a busy few days we’ve had, when it rains, it pours. I was admitted to the hospital, but I’m getting home today and I’m feeling great.”
She provided a cheerful update on her twins, revealing:
“Babies are also doing great. Baby girl is still bum down, and baby boy is transverse, so he’s lying sideways up over her. Little wagons already!”
Despite the challenges, Rachel remained optimistic, crediting her partner Adrien for his unwavering support during the crisis.
The Emotional Aftermath and Moving Forward
The traumatic episode left Rachel reflecting on life’s fragility. She shared:
“We were reminded again how brief life is and how fortunate we are with good health… Her daddy was definitely watching over her because I truly can’t explain how we heard her choking. Our guardian angel.”
Holly’s sisters, Leah and Hannah, were deeply affected, with Rachel noting they were “absolutely traumatized” after witnessing the seizure.
