Over the weekend, Riley Burruss made a nostalgic visit to Georgia, diving back into her hometown environment. The Next Gen NYC star had the chance to enjoy a Beyoncé concert, accompanied by her mom and a few close friends.

How to Watch

Watch Next Gen NYC on Bravo Tuesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock.

Earlier in the week, Riley shared updates on her Instagram Story, announcing she would be attending Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour. Her Story featured photos and videos where Riley sported denim shorts, leather chaps, and a red cowboy hat for one of the tour nights, as she danced alongside her mother, Kandi Burruss, a former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Following the second night of the concert, Riley returned to Instagram to share a mirror selfie with an unidentified person. In this photo, Riley donned a cropped denim blazer, denim shorts, and a denim cowboy hat, playfully making a kissy face at the camera, while the mystery individual gave her a peck on the cheek.

Although it’s unclear who this person is — if it’s just a friend, or a significant other — Riley seemed pretty excited about it. “Yeehaw,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.

Riley also took to her Instagram account earlier this week, where she posted a series of photos from the evening, alongside her mom, rocking her denim outfit. “Cowboy Carter with the [Kandi Koated Clique],” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Riley’s friends took to the comments where they hyped her up. “OMG NEXT LEVEL,” Next Gen NYC cast member, Brooks Marks, wrote.

“U LOOK SO GOOD,” Riley’s BFF and Next Gen NYC cast member, Ariana Biermann, added.

Riley Burruss reveals what she looks for in a life partner

Riley appeared on the Situationships Podcast on July 9, where she dished on her dating life and revealed what she looks for in a partner. “I really value a person who can communicate well and someone who can teach me something that I don’t know,” she explained.

She continued, noting that she does not want a partner who is “in the same field” as her, which is the entertainment business (and possibly law). “Because, I feel like, you know, I went to school for, I’ve been in the industry, so I can keep learning about that and I can teach you about that,” she admitted. “I don’t need you to constantly be teaching me about something I’ve already been learning. So yeah, I think just someone who’s kind and can handle me even when I’m rowdy.”

Riley Burruss shares the dating advice that Kandi Burruss has given her

She also admitted that her mom has given her some dating advice. But, it’s not necessarily advice that she has used. “I mean, my mom’s always talking about different things she’s learned, but I feel like it’s such a different time,” she admitted.

“So a lot of things that people used to do, they don’t do anymore,” she continued. “Like, courtship is not much of a thing nowadays.”

Why Riley Burruss doesn’t want to live in Atlanta

Although Riley really enjoyed her weekend back at home, she recently explained her reasoning for wanting to live in NYC. Riley and Kandi sat down with Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker, during Next Gen NYC Season 1, Episode 5, where Riley admitted that she wants to stay in Brooklyn.

“I feel like I’ll be more in your shadow, I guess, if I stay in Atlanta,” she said.
