PJ Tucker was born to his parents, Anthony Tucker & Aleshia Tucker. Tucker’s full name is Anthony Leon Tucker Jr., but he was given the moniker P. J. by his father, who dubbed him “Pop Junior.”
When Tucker’s father was in the army, he spent part of his boyhood in Germany. However, he later returned to the states & started pursuing his basketball career.
Tucker’s parents have always been supportive of his career choices & they are his biggest cheerleaders. Tucker explains without his parents, he would not have come this far in his career.
Even though there is not much information regarding his family, they are still a big part of his life. They are often present in his basketball games & are seen cheering him on.

Tucker graduated from Raleigh’s William G. Enloe High School, where he was selected North Carolina Player of the Year in 2003 and had his number retired.
He scored 1,169 points in three seasons at the University of Texas in Austin, including a career-high 594 in the 2005–06 season.
