Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) has been struggling to cope amid the pressure of having quads in Coronation Street, but it appears as if she finds herself in a terrifying situation during the coming episodes, as she awakes from her slumber to find the quads missing.
It’s been a stressful couple of months for Gemma. Between giving birth to four babies at the same time, to having to juggle the Frescho’s contract amid adjusting to their new normal, she’s had a lot on her plate, so it’s no wonder that she’s constantly exhausted.
Baby Aled’s diagnosis has weighed on her mind also, as has the discovery of what her brother Paul (Peter Ash) went through when he was a teenager at the hands of Kel (Joe Alessi), so Chesney (Sam Aston) was delighted when she found solace in the company of other mums.
However, she finds herself in a terrifying situation in the coming episodes, as — after attending storytime at Speed Daal — she ends up falling asleep from exhaustion, which prompts the other mums to gently take the babies from her.
As she awakes, she’s confused, but — after the initial panic at the thought of losing her babies sets in — she comes to realise what’s happened and is upset.
The other mums reveal that she could so with some help looking after the children, which prompts her to leave a voicemail on mum Bernie’s (Jane Hazelgrove) phone.
One to watch: Friday 13 March at 7:30pm on ITV.
