Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has been suffering at the hands of evil Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) in Coronation Street for the best part of a year now, but it seems as if the penny is finally beginning to stop, as Alya (Sair Khan) has planted seeds of doubt in her head in regards to her husband.
Alya was determined to prevent Yasmeen from suffering any longer, and therefore she set out to have a confrontation with Geoff during tonight’s episode. With Ryan (Ryan Prescott) having questioned the legitimacy of the hotel booking, Alya decided to quiz the abuser about where he was planning to stay in Spain.
Geoff continued to lie about the booking, even though Alya had contacted the hotel thus proving she was right about him having fabricated the whole thing.
Matters became worse when she mentioned that she’d been to the police to request information under Clare’s law, as Geoff saw red and began to grow aggressive.
He intimidated Alya — leaving her scared, as she backed into a corner — and he proceeded to threaten her.
Yasmeen returned home to witness the altercation and pulled Geoff away from her granddaughter.
Alya revealed to her gran that Geoff was lying about the hotel, and pleaded with her to check his emails.
Yasmeen refused to do so, and promised Geoff that she trusts him a hundred percent, but as he headed up the stairs for a bath, she picked up his laptop to have a peek.
Unfortunately, the device was password protected, and thus she couldn’t gain access, but it became apparent that the seeds of doubt have been well and truly planted in her head.
Will Yasmeen discover Geoff’s lie?
Or his secret emails to an escort agency?
