Authorities in New Jersey are investigating the suspected homicide of two siblings who were found dead in the back of a car being driven by their mother.
According to WABC, police approached a vehicle that had gone off road in Hillsborough on Tuesday. Inside the car they found Yuhwei Chou, 36, and her two children in the backseat. Both of the children, a 7-year-old girl and a 10-month-old boy, were unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors reportedly said that the children were bound and restrained in their respective booster and car seats. It does not appear that Chou exhibited any injuries.
The mother has been taken into custody on murder charges for both children. The WABC report indicates that investigators are confident Chou is responsible for the children’s death, but their cause of death is pending completed autopsies.
