On the morning of March 27, a tragic incident occurred on Bannockburn-Shelford Road in Teesdale when young Caleb Wesley was hit by a car while on his way to school with two older children, aged nine and twelve.

An 84-year-old woman from Teesdale faces charges including failing to stop after an accident, neglecting to provide assistance, and not reporting the collision.
She has been released on bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
The principal of Covenant College, Joshua McEwen, expressed the profound impact of Caleb’s passing on the school community.
“This news has been a tremendous shock to everyone at Covenant College,” stated McEwen.
“Our sympathies and prayers are with the family and we are offering support to them, as well as to students, staff and those affected by this loss.
“At this time our priority is the wellbeing of our school community, and we are praying that God’s peace and comfort will prevail for all at this time.”
