Staff Report
ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – An investigation by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office has been launched following a CyberTip related to questionable online activities. On January 26, a detective was assigned to examine a series of conversations on the social media platform X that took place between December 14, 2025, and January 1, 2026. The tip included troubling content, such as a photograph of a nude prepubescent girl, alongside other media files, posts, and chats linked to the suspect’s account.
The account in question allegedly participated in multiple exchanges about distributing images and videos of children. The individual behind the account, claiming to be an adult female, frequently mentioned having no age restrictions. It is reported that this account distributed images and videos of child pornography, including at least two photographs of a preschooler whom the suspect stated she had access to in real life.
Concerned for the child’s safety, the detective acted swiftly by issuing an emergency subpoena to obtain the IP addresses associated with these conversations. The internet service account was linked to a relative of the suspect, but several adults were connected to the same location, complicating efforts to pinpoint a single individual.
Through cross-referencing phone numbers linked to various mobile IP addresses, investigators identified a single phone number appearing consistently across the records. This number was registered to a person named “Trinity Johnson.”
Comparison of lists of phone numbers associated with several mobile IP addresses produced a single phone number that appeared on each list, and the name on that account was “Trinity Johnson.”
The detective made contact with Johnson at a relative’s home on January 29, and she was interviewed at the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
Post Miranda, Johnson reportedly said that she is “into a lot of kinks that normal people would look down on”; when asked about the age of the youngest child in the photos she had sent, she reportedly said “seven,” but she later changed it to “four.”
Johnson reportedly admitted to sending child pornography 20-30 times, with images of about 10 different children. When asked about the preschool child, Johnson reportedly denied having or sending any photos of the child; when she continued to insist that she didn’t know anything about the images of the preschool child, law enforcement left the room.
A short time later, Johnson reportedly knocked on the door and said she remembered taking a photo of the child for the purpose of showing the child’s mother some redness under the child’s diaper.
As the detective continued to ask questions, Johnson eventually admitted to sending the photo out multiple times in chats, but she said it was because “when she’s in the mood, a photo is a photo.” Johnson eventually claimed ownership of the photos of the preschool child and said that she took them “because she had the opportunity.”
Johnson has been charged with 64 counts of possession of child pornography, 10 counts of soliciting child pornography, two counts of creating child pornography, and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device. Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $1,925,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
