BOLO: North Carolina Teen Girl Missing After Leaving Magistrates Office

A North Carolina teen has gone missing and police are looking for the public’s help bringing her home.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) received a call for missing Kaniyha Lane,16, a little after 7 p.m. on Thursday. 

Police said, “Ms. Lane was last seen leaving the magistrates office going towards E. Third Street and McDowell Street,” in Charlotte.

Lane is described as being 5 feet, 1 inch in height and weighing around 104 pounds. According to CMPD, the teenager has black hair and brown eyes. At the time she was last observed, Lane was dressed in blue sweatpants, a black short-sleeved shirt, and black Croc shoes without socks, with a blue and green blanket draped over her.

Lane has her hair pulled up into two ponytails on top of her head.

Anyone who knows anything about her disappearance or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
