ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and Gainesville Police Department have collaborated to form a county-wide Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The mission of this Task Force is to enhance online safety and strengthen defenses against online exploitation, cyberbullying, and digital abuse through joint investigations and public awareness programs.

Sheriff Chad Scott revealed that he has appointed four detectives from the Gainesville Police Department as Deputy Sheriffs with his office to officially establish the Task Force.
