At about 3.10am on Tuesday, February 18, police were called to The Boulevarde at Brighton Le Sands.
They were told an Audi SUV had turned into The Boulevarde from The Grand Parade, before a person in the car fired a gun at three men standing near a parked vehicle.
The three men, and the Audi, fled the scene. There were no reports of injuries.
Police found three vehicles with bullet holes, while a nearby building was also damaged.
A short time later, police discovered an Audi SUV, matching the description of the one involved in the shooting, ablaze in Windarra Street, Narwee.
Police now want to speak to a woman who was seen speaking with the three men shortly before the shooting.
She is described as being of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean appearance, with long dark hair, and was wearing a black singlet at the time.
Police have also released vision of a man inside the Audi who they believe can assist with their inquiries.
He was wearing dark clothing, including a face covering, and white gloves.
A second man is believed to have been inside the car at the time.
