Chilling newly-released body cam video relives the horror of the murders of four University of Idaho students.
The surviving roommates were observed outside their residence alongside police, providing a detailed account of the events on the night that Kaylee Goncalves, Maddie Mogen, Xana Kernoodle, and Ethan Chapin lost their lives to a solitary intruder.
Surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen informed Officer Mitch Nunes she overheard what she assumed was Kaylee screaming that “somebody” was in the house. She then heard footsteps descending from the third floor to Xana’s room on the second floor, followed by what she described as a “commotion.”
Mortensen says the sounds of a struggle die down, and she hears an unfamiliar male voice say, “You’re going to be fine. I’m going to help you.”
After hearing a man say, “I’m going to help you,” Dylan opened the door and spotted Bryan Kohberger. She described him to Officer Nunes as being “six feet tall, slim build, wearing a black mask, and having bushy eyebrows.”
Officers who responded to the 911 call at 1122 King Road discovered the kitchen door slightly open. As they conducted a walkthrough of the rental house, they noticed blood smeared on walls and floors and pooling near bodies located on different floors throughout the house.
