California police are investigating an apparent double homicide after a couple was found fatally shot in their home on Monday.

According to unidentified sources speaking to TMZ, Robin Kaye, a music supervisor for “American Idol,” and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were discovered deceased at their Encino residence following a welfare check. It was reported that officers had to break a window to enter the home, where they found the couple with gunshot wounds to their heads.

TMZ also noted that police were at the residence the previous week when neighbors allegedly saw an armed individual jumping a fence. Despite this, the responding officers found no signs of a break-in at that time. Moreover, a helicopter conducted an aerial search of the area, but no suspect was found.

As per TMZ’s report, family members had not been in touch with Kaye or Deluca for four days. When police arrived at their home on Monday, it was reported that there was blood at the front door.

No arrests have been made. It is unclear whether last week’s incident is linked to Kaye and Deluca’s slayings.
