Breaking News: GPD Launches In-Depth Investigation into NE Gainesville Shooting Incident

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities in Gainesville are seeking the public’s assistance in unraveling the details of a shooting that occurred shortly after midnight on January 2 in the 1000 block of NE 23rd Street.

Police officers quickly responded to the scene where a shooting took place following a dispute at a party. The victim, who was in attendance, sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The Gainesville Police Department is urging anyone with information about this incident to reach out to their Investigations Bureau at 352-393-7700.
