California authorities revealed on Monday that they have arrested the son of renowned couple Rob and Michelle Reiner, following the discovery of their deaths on Sunday.
According to Page Six, 32-year-old Nick Reiner was detained and is currently being held on a $4 million bail. Just hours before his arrest, Rob and Michelle Reiner were found dead with apparent stab wounds at their residence in Los Angeles.
TMZ reported earlier that anonymous sources indicated a family member was involved in the tragic incident, allegedly slitting the throats of Rob and Michelle Reiner in their Los Angeles mansion. It was one of the couple’s daughters who discovered the scene and informed the police, suggesting that the family member might be a suspect due to being considered “dangerous,” according to these sources.
While law enforcement officials have yet to release an official statement regarding the double homicide, insiders have informed People magazine that Nick Reiner is believed to be responsible for the deaths of his parents. Nick Reiner has previously spoken openly about his struggles with drug addiction and periods of homelessness.
Rob Reiner was 78 years old, and Michelle Reiner was 68. A motive for the alleged crime has not yet been revealed.
