Brian Walshe has been handed a life sentence without the option of parole.

This verdict was delivered by a Massachusetts jury that convicted him of the murder and dismemberment of his wife, Ana Walshe, who was also the mother of their three children.

Ana disappeared on January 1, 2023.

Initially, Walshe, 50, admitted guilt to charges of unlawfully disposing of her body and misleading police. However, he later altered his plea on these charges before the trial’s jury selection, continuing to assert his innocence regarding her death.

Prosecutors allege that the 48-year-old husband dismembered Ana and disposed of her remains in various local trash receptacles. Investigators have found blood-stained objects at their residence, including a hacksaw.

Ana’s body has yet to be discovered.
