Police are investigating after shots were fired at a suburban home in Sydney’s west in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to a home on Frank Street in Mount Druitt about 1am after reports that up to 30 shots were fired at a house.
There were eleven people inside the house at the time, six of them children.
9News understands the shots were possibly fired from semi-automatic rifles into the front of the home.
A man in the house told 9News that one of the bullets narrowly missed his granddaughter.
Nobody was harmed in the shooting.
The gunman or gunmen drove away from the scene in a dark hatchback.
A crime scene was established, with police combing the surrounding area for evidence throughout the morning.
Police believe the shooting was a targeted attack.
