California Mother Allegedly Knocked Unconcious, 7-Month-Old Son ‘Snatched’ by Stranger

A California mother claims she regained consciousness to find her infant son missing after allegedly being knocked out in a San Bernardino County retail parking lot.

Rebecca Haro and her 7-month-old son, Emmanuel Haro, reportedly visited a Big 5 Sporting Goods on the 34000 block of Yucaipa Boulevard on Thursday, to buy a mouth guard for her older son.

Haro’s other two children and her husband, Jake Haro, stayed at the local park where their son had football practice, KTLA reported.

“I parked right on the edge when I arrived,” she shared with KTLA’s Ellina Abovian. “As I was driving over, I noticed the baby had used the bathroom, so I assured him, ‘Don’t worry, we are going to change you.’”

Harro parked and proceeded to change Emmanuel in the parking lot. Harro said she remembered a stranger greeting her and nothing else.

“I went to grab the diaper, and someone said, ‘Hola,’ and that’s the last thing I remember,” she recounted through tears. “I woke up on the ground here, and Emmanuel was gone.”

Harro said when she woke up, her son was gone. She also sustained a black eye, according to KTLA.

Upon responding to the missing child call, the San Bernardino County Sheriff deployed K9 scent-tracking dogs, but they were unable to find Emmanuel.

On Saturday, investigators from the Specialized Investigations Division continued the search for the missing infant.
