Guardian Gave Meth to 5-Year-Old Girl While Wishing Death on Her

A Pennsylvania woman was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly giving a 5-year-old girl methamphetamine.

In April, a victim informed Blair County police that Chelsey Judd, aged 22, allegedly made her take bong hits on several occasions, saying they would die and she wanted them to die. This reportedly happened between early March and April while Judd had the children in her care, as reported by WTAJ.

The young girl mentioned feeling “dizzy” after using the bong, and claimed Judd pulled her hair. She also noted that several people would visit to smoke meth, recalling someone advising Judd to “stop using meth and take care of your kids,” according to WTAJ.

In June, Judd allegedly admitted to Children and Youth Services that she used meth and had drug-related items in her home. The Altoona Mirror reported that while Tyrone Borough police were serving a search warrant at her residence on Wednesday, they discovered she was hiding at a nearby apartment. Police found Judd concealed under a pile of clothes and took her into custody.

Judd faces charges including child welfare endangerment, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, corruption of minors, simple assault, reckless endangerment of another person, and intent to possess a controlled substance among other charges. Her bail was set at $200,000.

Police said Judd will likely face additional charges for evading officers before her arrest.
