An active police investigation has been launched following shots fired at a residence in St Clair, located in Greater Western Sydney, during the early hours today.
Authorities responded to the scene on Menzies Circuit around 12:45 a.m.
At the time of the incident, an individual was present inside the home; however, they emerged unscathed, according to statements from NSW Police.
Shortly after, emergency services were alerted to a vehicle engulfed in flames on Freeman Street in Colyton, roughly 3.5 kilometers away.
Detectives are considering both events as potentially connected.
Police, along with firefighters, successfully extinguished the car fire.
A crime scene was established, and the car was seized for forensic examination.
