Colorado Man Rams 2 Homes, Tries to Run Over Ex-Girlfriend’s Mother Before Neighbors Detain Him

Colorado authorities have apprehended a man after he drove his vehicle into two houses in an attempt to locate his ex-girlfriend’s family, subsequently trying to run over her mother.

The individual was detained following a second ramming incident at the mother’s home in Westminster, a suburb of Denver, on Sunday. Neighbors held him until police arrived, according to a statement from the Westminster Police Department.

Authorities reported being alerted shortly before 11 a.m. about the suspect crashing into two residences, initially his ex-girlfriend’s mother’s home, followed by “an unrelated residence.”

Police stated, “Subsequently, he came back and is accused of trying to run over his ex-girlfriend’s mother several times before once again crashing into her home with his vehicle.”

Both homes are being assessed for structural damage, police said, but there no serious injuries.

The suspect was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.

Police did not name the suspect or say if he faces any charges.

“The investigation remains ongoing,” police said. “Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”
