An electrician who frequently worked on Orsolya Gaal’s family home in Queens says the house is equipped with multiple cameras and that there is a separate entrance that leads to the basement.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, investigators say they’re looking into the 51-year-old mother of two’s relationships with several men as they search for her killer, but New York’s tabloid newspapers say detectives are particularly interested in a former handyman who may have had a romantic relationship with her that went sour.

The New York Daily News cited police sources who said detectives didn’t have enough evidence to call the man a suspect but are searching for him. The sources said they didn’t know how the two met or when the relationship ended but added he had been seen at the house.

Law enforcement sources told the New York Post that the man knew where the family kept a spare key and could have accessed the house without breaking in. Officially, however, the police say they do not have a suspect or a person of interest.

The Daily News sources said Gaal was in contact with three men the night before her body was found in a bloody duffel bag less than a mile from the home she shared with her businessman husband and two teenage sons. The sources didn’t say when that contact took place.

Neighbors saw Gaal in her backyard with her dog late Friday afternoon, and she went to a Lincoln Center show in the evening with women friends, police have said. She returned home at about 11 p.m. and then went to a nearby bar, where she sat alone for about 40 minutes before again returning home. Hours later, a jogger found the duffel bag and called police, who followed a trail of blood back to Gaal’s home.

Investigators found a doorbell camera that captured haunting images of a figure dragging the wheeled bag down the street. The electrician, Arrjuna Jack, told Fox News about the family’s camera surveillance system and the entrance that led to the finished basement in the house.

Detectives have not been clear about where in the house the murder took place — Gaal was stabbed 58 times, with wounds all over her upper body along with defensive wounds to her hands and fingers — but the living room and basement are believed to have both been part of the crime scene. The duffel bag is believed to have been a hockey bag belonging to one of Gaal’s sons.

Her 13-year-old son was at the home at the time of the murder but was upstairs sleeping. Police took him in for questioning and released him, saying they didn’t believe he was involved. Gaal’s husband, Howard Klein, and 17-year-old were reportedly out of state looking at colleges.
