A couple from the northern suburbs of Adelaide has been charged with a series of serious offences, including child sexual abuse and bestiality.
Authorities contend that the couple was operating an illicit online brothel from their residence. This revelation emerged following a police investigation into online child exploitation activities.
During a raid conducted in collaboration with the RSPCA, law enforcement officials confiscated electronic devices from the home. These devices reportedly contained evidence of child exploitation and acts of bestiality.
Additional electronic devices were discovered and are currently undergoing thorough examination by the authorities.
It is further alleged that the property was being utilized as a brothel.
A 39-year-old man was  arrested and charged with possessing child exploitation material, managing a brothel, bestiality and ill treatment of an animal.
A 33-year-old woman was also charged with bestiality and ill treatment of an animal.
Detective Chief Inspector George Fenwick said the alleged crimes were abhorrent.
“These allegations represent a heinous and blatant breach of the law and a profound violation of community standards and expectations,” he said.
“This arrest follows an investigation by dedicated specialist detectives who are committed to protecting children from those who seek to exploit and abuse children online.”
Both suspects were granted bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.
