TEEN GIRL CHEERLEADER DEAD ON CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIP, FBI JOINS INVESTIGATION

A tragic discovery was made on the Carnival Horizon earlier this month when a room steward found a Florida teenager deceased, wrapped in a blanket and concealed beneath a bed.

The 18-year-old, Anna Kepner, was part of a cruise journey that departed from Miami to the Caribbean. Her untimely death occurred on the final day of the voyage, as detailed by CrimeOnline.

According to DailyMail, insiders revealed that Anna felt unwell on November 6 and returned to her cabin. She remained unseen until the following morning when a maid discovered her under the bed, covered with a blanket and surrounded by life jackets.

The room steward reportedly stumbled upon the body around 11 a.m. during routine cleaning. This prompted the ship to make an unscheduled stop at Port Miami on November 8.

The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner confirmed that Anna passed away on November 7. Reports from The Cruise Globe indicate that the ship was near the northwest coast of Cuba at the time.

As of now, the medical examiner has not disclosed the cause of Kepner’s death.

Anna’s father, Christopher Kepner, previously said that he has been left in the dark about his daughter’s death.

“Everybody was questioned. Everybody came off that ship. I don’t know who they are looking at or what their investigation is,” Christopher Kepner told DailyMail.

Christopher Kepner reportedly said he had been on the cruise with his daughter and other family members.

Meanwhile, the FBI in Miami, currently leading the investigation, has not released additional details and has not confirmed the claims.

“The FBI hasn’t shared anything with me yet. I would imagine they’re going to be in contact with me about it – but I know as little as everybody else,” Christopher added.

Anna’s family described her as a straight-A “bubbly” student who enjoyed “being around people,” and volunteered in her grandparents’ 55+ neighborhood in Titusville. She also loved being near the water, earning her scuba certification and boater’s license.

Anna had plans to join the U.S. Navy after finishing her senior year in high school. She wanted to become a K9 police officer.
