Oscar-nominated actor Gary Busey pleaded guilty to inappropriately touching a woman during a 2022 horror film convention.

According to The Guardian, on Thursday, 81-year-old Busey confessed to deliberately touching a woman during a horror film convention in New Jersey, following his guilty plea to criminal sexual misconduct charges.

“It was not an accidental touching,” Busey stated to the judge via his virtual court appearance.

Three other charges of criminal sexual contact and one charge of attempted criminal sexual contact were dismissed as part of Busey’s plea deal.

As previously covered by CrimeOnline, Busey faced allegations of sexual offenses after the Cherry Hill Police were called to the Doubletree Hotel in August 2022, amidst the annual Monster Mania Convention where Busey was a distinguished guest.

Lt. Robert Scheunemann from Cherry Hill Police informed the Philadelphia Inquirer that they received multiple complaints and had to probe into allegations concerning inappropriate contact, emphasizing that “it was about touching.”

Busey was accused of groping five women while he took pictures with them at the convention.

Two women alleged Busey grabbed their butts, while a third woman reported he put his face near her breasts while he tried to unlatch her bra.

A grand jury indictment revealed two additional claims, which included Busey allegedly touching a woman’s buttocks and another woman’s private parts, as reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Judge Gwendolyn Blue set Busey’s virtual sentencing hearing for September 18, according to 6ABC.
