A video from 2016 showing Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura Fine in a Los Angeles hotel has resurfaced as a crucial element in Combs’ ongoing federal sex trafficking trial.
Eddy Garcia, who was a security guard at the Intercontinental Hotel at the time, briefly testified but quickly invoked his Fifth Amendment rights. Judge Subramanian granted him immunity, contingent on honest testimony. Garcia revealed that Combs paid $100,000 for a copy of the footage, which depicts Combs kicking and dragging Cassie. CNN released this security footage last year.
An additional witness referred to as “Jane” is anticipated to take the stand this week, alleging that Combs drugged and manipulated her into joining “Freak Offs” by controlling her finances. Speculation surrounds whether Combs’ Chief of Staff, Kristina Khorram, will testify and which side she might support. Khorram is accused in three separate lawsuits of aiding Combs’ crimes and has been compared to Ghislaine Maxwell.
