Sean “Diddy” Combs is in the news, but this time it’s not due to his legal troubles. Instead, it’s because an iconic outfit he wore in the Oscar-winning movie “Monster’s Ball” in 2001 is going up for auction. This piece of Hollywood memorabilia is expected to sell for a substantial amount when the auction starts on June 7.
Mia, who formerly worked as an assistant for Sean “Diddy” Combs, testified against him under a pseudonym, accusing him of sexually assaulting her on multiple occasions. During a lengthy and often intense cross-examination by Brian Steel, one of Combs’ defense attorneys, Mia stayed composed while refuting the defense’s claims that she had fabricated the abuse allegations. Steel questioned her about her social media posts where she had praised Diddy, as well as messages showing her distress when her job ended.
Mia explained that being part of Combs’s inner circle was all she knew for eight years, working around the clock. When asked why she would act positively toward someone who allegedly mistreated her, she suggested Steel “speak with my therapist.” She portrayed Combs as a domineering employer who repeatedly abused her over the course of her employment.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump wouldn’t rule out a pardon for Combs, when asked about the possibility Friday during a White House presser. Rapper 50 Cent weighs in, 50 and the disgraced music mogul have been in a longstanding feud, and the pairs drama has intensified since Diddy’s legal woos came to light.
Prosecutors were able to call one additional witness before jury was sent home: Sylvia Oken, a custodian for the Beverly Hills Hotel. Before leaving the stand, Oken describes two cleaning fees on Combs’s hotel account, including one for “oil damage.”
