Over a month past the Transparency Act’s stipulated deadline, the Department of Justice has unveiled an extensive collection of Jeffrey Epstein’s case files, totaling three million pages, alongside 2,000 videos and 180,000 images.
According to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, the initial collection consisted of nearly twice the number of pages deemed “potentially responsive” to the Transparency Act. However, through diligent efforts involving review, redaction, and the elimination of duplicates, this was condensed to the 3.5 million pages now available to the public.
The assortment of videos and images wasn’t solely captured by Epstein or his associates. It includes a significant amount of commercial pornography and images retrieved from Epstein’s devices that he did not personally record.
Among the documents are 2019 emails from the FBI identifying 10 potential co-conspirators linked to Epstein. The communications reveal that subpoenas have been issued to six of these individuals: three based in Florida and one each from Boston, New York City, and Connecticut.
The document names remain largely redacted, with only ‘Maxwell’ and ‘Wexner’ clearly visible, likely referring to Ghislaine Maxwell and former Victoria’s Secret CEO Les Wexner. Wexner, who previously maintained a public friendship with Epstein, expressed regret in 2019 over their association, stating he was “embarrassed” by it.
Wexner’s legal team has asserted that he was “neither a co-conspirator nor a target” in the investigation.
