Four people have been arrested in North Georgia after they allegedly attacked a father and daughter while they were camping over the weekend.
The father, 58-year-old Bruce Waldon, is currently in the ICU at a Gainesville hospital, enduring severe lacerations and a brain bleed, according to WANF. His 20-year-old daughter, Grace Waldon, sustained bruises and managed to injure one of her assailants while defending herself.
“My dad was eating peanut brittle and adjusting his fishing rod, and my sister was munching on boiled peanuts,” explained another daughter, Brittanee Hollingsworth, who was not present during the camping trip. “Then my dad was struck on the head with a beer bottle, suffering a cut from his ear to the back of his neck, and lay unconscious on the ground.”
The White County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Krista Wilson, 44; Joshua Wilson, 42; Joshua Miller, 32; and Charles Miller, 39, all facing charges of aggravated assault and battery.
Waldon’s family suspects additional individuals were involved in the incident at Low Gap Campground within the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest near Helen, and the sheriff’s department continues to investigate.
