The father of a 17-year-old Georgia girl who allegedly killed her mother and stepfather in February reportedly visited her in jail on Sunday.
The Daily Mail has reported that Sean Patrick, aged 43, was seen outside the Carroll County detention facility where his daughter, Sarah Patrick, is currently detained. Sarah has been held at this facility since July 8, following accusations of her involvement in the shootings of Kristen and James Brock, aged 41 and 45, at their home in Carrollton on February 20.
According to the Daily Mail, Monday’s jail visit lasted about an hour.
“Sarah Grace [Patrick] asserts her innocence, and we stand by her,” Sean Patrick’s girlfriend expressed to the Daily Mail. “At the moment, we’re taking a step back to ensure that everything works in her favor, rather than against her.”
On February 20, the couple’s 5-year-old daughter discovered them shot in their bedroom. Authorities mentioned that while there were no signs of a burglary, a door had been left ajar.
“I think he [Sean Patrick] said Kristin was shot behind the ear, the temple, the torso. And that James was shot like in the temple, head, nose, or something, and in the chest or the torso. That’s all he said,” Sean Patrick’s mother revealed to the Daily Mail.
Sarah Patrick called 911 to report the incident. She also gave her mother’s and stepfather’s eulogies before her arrest.
Sarah Patrick is charged as an adult with murder and aggravated assault. Her lawyer has requested a bond hearing as she remains jailed without bond. However, a court date has not been set.
Carroll County police have not disclosed a motive, but they said a “mountain of evidence” led to the teen’s arrest.
