In the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, authorities have released more information regarding a “suspect” captured on doorbell camera footage prior to her abduction.

Despite it being two weeks since the 84-year-old vanished, investigators have yet to uncover any significant leads or formally charge anyone, although they did momentarily detain a man based on an anonymous tip. This individual was subsequently released after being found unrelated to the case, as reported by CrimeOnline.

According to the FBI, the man seen in the footage is described as having an average build and standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, as reported by KSAZ. This description emerged following a forensic analysis of the doorbell video conducted by FBI experts.

Further, the FBI said the man, wearing a full face ski mask, was carrying an Ozark Trail Hiker Pack.

The federal agency also announced a doubling of its reward offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved. That reward now stands at $100,000.

Guthrie vanished overnight on January 31 after having dinner with her older daughter, Annie Guthrie, and her husband, Tommaso Cioni. The was reported missing the following morning, as CrimeOnline reported.

Ransom letters have been received by media outlets — but not the family — demanding millions in Bitcoin for the safe release of Guthrie, who has now been without her medicine for two weeks. Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have released videos saying they wanted to talk with the kidnappers and agreeing “we will pay.”

A separate note was sent to tabloid entertainment outlet TMZ demanding a single Bitcoin for the name of the kidnappers. TMZ received a second note, purportedly from the same person, whining that they were not being taken seriously.

Investigators have said they take all leads seriously and are looking to verify any and all of the allegedly ransom notes.

Meanwhile, investigators waited nearly two weeks to begin asking Guthrie’s neighbors to share surveillance video, just after they found black gloves along a road nearby that appeared similar to the ones worn by the suspect in the Guthrie doorbell camera.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency in the investigation, and on Thursday, Sheriff Chris Nanos disputed media reports that he was withholding investigative information from the FBI, although he is sending evidence to a private DNA lab in Florida rather than the FBI’s lab in Virginia, KOLD reported.

Also, the FBI in its latest post on Twitter.com asked media outlets to send any tips they received to them.

The sheriff told the station his agency has “good leads” as they search for the missing woman.
