A missing Oklahoma college student was found dead after a week-long search this week, and an 18-year-old has been arrested.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported that Logan Nathaniel Musil, aged 18, was reported missing to the police at South Western Oklahoma State University on September 30. The university police enlisted the assistance of OSBI on October 5.
Three days later, OSBI coordinated an extensive search near Veteran’s Lake in Sulphur and found Musil’s body.
During their investigation, agents discovered that Musil had been involved in a confrontation with another teenager shortly before he passed away. Consequently, they arrested 18-year-old Cameron Lewis.
According to KOCO, Lewis is also a student at SWOSU.
Lewis is being held in the Custer County Jail while the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Oklahoma determines official charges.
OSBI said that Lewis is a tribal citizen, which is why the US Attorney is handling the charges, KFOR said.
