A Florida man who was arrested on Saturday allegedly tried to enter jail with a large thermos stashed in his rectum.
Police in Polk County were called to a public park concerning a report of a naked man in a restroom but discovered Walter Frymire, 51, was actually dressed. Even though Frymire was warned and let go from the park, he was subsequently detained after wandering across the street and climbing onto the nearby railway lines, according to WESH.
When deputies made the arrest, they allegedly uncovered methamphetamine in Frymire’s possession. Additionally, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd mentioned that a body scan at the jail found Frymire had discreetly hidden a large thermos in his rectum.
“That’s right, he put it in the exit ramp,” he commented.
The discovery led to Frymire’s hospitalization. There, doctors had a specialist remove the thermos, according to WSVN.
“The deputy saved his life. And that was after Walter threatened to kill the deputy for arresting him,” Judd commented.
Records show Frymire has been arrested 25 times and has served time in prison on five occasions. It remains uncertain if he will confront further charges linked to the thermos incident.
