In a tragic incident in Florida on Monday, two brothers fell victim to a fatal shooting at their own business. The brothers, owners of the establishment, were targeted by a man linked to a significant fraud case involving their company.
According to Boynton Beach Police, the victims, Charles Geragi, aged 67, and Richard Geragi, aged 72, were gunned down at approximately 4 p.m. inside their business, All-American Farms, as reported by WPTV.
The alleged shooter, 39-year-old Nesar Dawla, took his own life following a short pursuit with law enforcement after the shooting took place.
Authorities quickly identified Dawla as the suspect and tracked down his vehicle, as reported by CrimeOnline. When officers tried to stop him, Dawla fled, leading to a crash.
Police reports indicate that officers witnessed Dawla shoot himself while driving, according to WPTV.
The Geragi brothers were meeting with Dawla to discuss the restitution of funds embezzled by Dawla’s brother, Sadman Dawla. Sadman was previously convicted for defrauding the Geragis of over $5 million back in 2024. Unfortunately, during the meeting, Nesar Dawla drew a firearm and fatally shot the brothers.
Investigators believe that Nesar Dawla was involved in the fraud, but they didn’t find evidence to support charges at the time.
According to WPEC, Sadman Dawla is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday.
