Gainesville Resident Charged with Alleged Sexual Battery and Child Pornography Crimes Involving a Minor

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Robert Lee Johnson III, 38, was arrested yesterday for nine felonies related to sexual battery of a minor and child pornography.

Johnson faces multiple charges, including two counts of sexual battery involving a minor under 18, lewd or lascivious acts with a minor under 16, two counts each of both producing and distributing child pornography, possession of child pornography, and improper use of a communication device.

Johnson holds 11 felony (non-violent) and nine misdemeanor (non-violent) convictions, having completed four prison terms, with the latest ending in 2018. He currently faces a Notice to Appear due to driving on a suspended license.
