Police responded to reports of a brawl involving approximately 15 individuals on Boundary Road, Chester Hill, around 10:30 p.m. last night. Upon arrival, they learned that two people had been shot during the altercation.
By the time officers reached the scene, those involved had dispersed. Shortly thereafter, authorities spotted a black sedan driving on Ferndell Street in the nearby suburb of Guildford.
Suspecting the vehicle was being driven recklessly, the police attempted to initiate a traffic stop. When the driver failed to comply, a pursuit ensued.
The chase concluded when the car came to a halt, and officers discovered two men inside: a 27-year-old and a 24-year-old, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics rushed the wounded men to the hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition. Police questioned the driver but allowed him to leave, pending further investigation.
