An investigation is under way after two homes in Sydney’s west were sprayed with bullets overnight, with the dual shootings believed to be linked.

In the early hours of the morning, residents of Columbine Avenue in Punchbowl were shaken by the sound of gunfire. Police were summoned to the scene at approximately 2:45 a.m. following reports that multiple shots had been fired into a home.

Witnesses indicated that the shots originated from an unidentified vehicle, which sped away immediately after the incident, leaving the neighborhood on edge.

Merely 15 minutes later, at 3:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to another location on Noble Avenue in Greenacre, roughly 3.5 kilometers from Punchbowl. The reports echoed a similar scenario—a home targeted by gunfire from an unknown car.

In both instances, the vehicles involved in the shootings managed to escape before law enforcement could arrive on the scene.

Fortunately, despite the alarming nature of the events, no injuries were reported at either location. Police investigations are ongoing as they work to piece together the details of these unsettling events.

Nobody was injured in either shooting.

A crime scene has been established at both scenes.

Investigators believe that the shootings are linked.

Police have urged anyone with dashcam vision from the Punchbowl or Greenacre areas between 2.30am and 3.30am to contact police.
