Arkansas Mother, Twin Children Found Dead a Day After Divorce from Violent Ex

In a tragic turn of events, a mother in Arkansas, Charity Beallis, was discovered shot dead in her home in Sebastian County alongside her two young children. Disturbingly, months prior to this horrific incident, Beallis had posted a foreboding message on Facebook, highlighting the potential dangers of domestic violence.

In August, Beallis shared a haunting message on her Facebook page: “If a partner has ever strangled you, they will likely kill you.” This message, originating from a Daily Press article addressing domestic violence, serves as a chilling premonition of the violence that would later claim her life.

As previously covered by CrimeOnline, the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check request on December 3. The call led them to a residence on 1st Avenue in Bonanza, where upon entry, they found the lifeless bodies of 40-year-old Charity Beallis and her two six-year-old children, all having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

The shocking discovery prompted an immediate investigation. While the Sheriff’s Office is in the process of reviewing autopsy results and examining evidence, they have yet to arrest anyone in connection with the deaths. The investigation is being supported by the United States Secret Service and Homeland Security Investigations, underscoring the gravity of the case.

When workers at the property allowed law enforcement inside the home, they found Charity Beallis, 40, and two children, both 6, with gunshot wounds. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, the release stated.

SCSO is currently waiting on autopsy results and processing evidence. The United States Secret Service and Homeland Security Investigations are reportedly assisting in the investigation, although no one has been arrested.

The deaths happened one day after Beallis had a final hearing concerning her divorce from Dr. Randall Beallis.

The divorce filings came less than a month after Dr. Beallis had been arrested for allegedly strangling Charity, which is said to have happened in front of her children, according to 5NEWS.

Charity Beallis had been fighting for full custody of the children, after Dr. Beallis’s arrest for aggravated assault on a family member, third-degree domestic battery, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.

Dr. Beallis reached an agreement and pleaded guilty to third-degree battery on October 9.

Randall’s lawyer, Michael Pearce, told FOX News Digital that his client has been cooperative with the investigation into the deaths.

“Mr. Beallis was not responsible for the death of Mrs. Beallis nor his children’s deaths,” Pierce stated. “Mrs. Beallis has made false accusations against Mr. Beallis in the past.”

Following the deaths, Pearce filed a motion to dismiss the divorce. However, Charity’s son, John Powell, 24, is pushing to finalize it.

“She was a good Christian woman that loved her children and loved her family and friends more than anything. She always put God first, and I’m grateful for that because I know where she is now: in heaven,” Powell said, according to KXII 12.

Due to her death, however, a judge on Monday reportedly ordered an abatement in the case. According to court records, Powell went to court to get the case reinstated.

“My legal team has began to help me fight for my mother’s justice and this divorce case and stuff. I really can’t disclose a lot of information, but my legal team is working on it,” he said.

The investigation continues. Check back for updates.
