A tumultuous altercation at a residence on Murray Street in Swan Hill appears to have sparked a series of violent incidents, including a stabbing and a hit-and-run, leaving two individuals seriously injured.
It is alleged that a man, who may have had a role in igniting the fires, entered a vehicle and intentionally drove into another man. The vehicle subsequently crashed into a house wall, pinning the victim beneath it.
Following this, the driver reportedly exited the car and stabbed a woman before escaping in a different vehicle.
The aftermath saw a 47-year-old woman from Piangil being airlifted to the hospital due to severe injuries. Meanwhile, a 61-year-old man was transported by ambulance to receive medical care for his serious injuries.
Authorities reported that a 52-year-old man later voluntarily went to a police station. He is believed to be acquainted with both victims.
