Late in the evening, around 10:20 p.m., police officers patrolling Bilga Crescent in Malabar reportedly witnessed an individual launching fireworks into the night sky. The scene unfolded as the officers attempted to approach the man, who then allegedly turned his attention towards them.
In a shocking turn of events, the man is said to have aimed the fireworks directly at the approaching police vehicle. Fortunately, the officers inside, along with another passenger, escaped the encounter unscathed, and the vehicle itself suffered no damage.
The situation escalated into a brief chase on foot, culminating in the arrest of a 46-year-old suspect. Upon his capture, authorities reportedly discovered a slingshot and a jet lighter in his possession.
The man now faces a series of serious charges, including possession of a prohibited weapon, handling explosives, and assaulting police officers. These allegations underscore the gravity of actions involving fireworks and the potential threats they pose to public safety and law enforcement.
