An 8-year-old girl from Montana remains missing after she disappeared from the Two Medicine area back in 2021.
According to NonStopLocal, Arden Pepion was last seen on April 22, 2021. At the time, she was “spending time with her uncle” at Joe Show Road East in the Two Medicine region, located on the southeastern side of Glacier National Park.
Arden was just three years old when she went missing.
Her uncle, HaHaax Vielle, has since pleaded guilty to charges of negligent endangerment, as reported by KRTV. It was noted that Arden and Vielle’s girlfriend were “practicing shooting” when they discovered footprints leading towards the river.
The Blackfeet Tribal Prosecutor’s Office revealed that Arden was not reported missing until approximately five hours after she vanished. During the search, a boot and footprints believed to belong to Arden were found near the river.
The Daily Montanan reported that despite the efforts of cadaver dogs and a scuba diving team searching the area, these efforts ultimately did not yield any results.
At the time of her disappearance, Arden stood 3 feet tall and weighed 31 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen in a grey sweater, black leggings, and a purple jacket with a unicorn design on the front.
The U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs is currently leading the investigation, and the case remains open. Tips should be submitted to 833-560-2065.
