Kidnapping Victim Slips Note Begging for Help to KFC Employee – Crime Online

A Tennessee man has been jailed on kidnapping and evading arrest charges after a woman slipped a note to a Kentucky Fried Chicken employee begging for help, and that employee called police.

Memphis police officers responded to the restaurant, and the employee gave them a description of the woman and man who was with her.

As it turned out, they hadn’t left the property, and police spotted them outside, Memphis police said. The man took off on foot, but police quickly subdued him.

The woman told investigators that Diego Glay, her boyfriend, had been holding her against her will after she came to visit him by bus from another state.

“They got into an argument, and she attempted to leave him several times and return home, but Glay held her physically against her will with physical assaults, threats, and being armed with a handgun,” police said.

When she tried to leave, Glay took her phone and wouldn’t let her out of his sight, according to WREG.

Police said the pair went from hotel to hotel.

Detectives said that the incident began when Glay found a video on the woman’s phone that showed her having sex with an ex-boyfriend. At one point, the woman managed to buy a train tick to her home in Baltimore, but when Glay found it, he refused to let her go.

Glay’s bond was set at $35,000, and he is due back in court on June, according to jail records.
