An Oklahoma man was charged with allegedly murdering his girlfriend, and when police arrived, he reportedly had an ominous greeting for them.
Chad Weathers, aged 49, was taken into custody and placed in the Osage County Jail on Sunday following the discovery of his girlfriend, Tanya Anderson, who had succumbed to a gunshot wound at his residence. As detailed by local CBS station KOTV, the police arrived at the scene after receiving a 911 call from Weathers around 9:30 a.m., during which he asked for police presence at his home.
When Weathers was asked why, he ended the call.

When officers arrived, Weathers reportedly met them at the door and said, “I’ve got a weird one for you.” It was then that he allegedly confessed to having shot his girlfriend the previous night.
Anderson was found in the bedroom of the home and declared dead at the scene. A gun was next to her body.
KOTV also spoke with Skiatook Police Chief Jason Willingham, who revealed that Anderson’s family mentioned there was a history of domestic violence between the two, though no formal reports had been filed. Willingham noted that the investigation was still in its early stages, with no obvious motive for the alleged crime or explanation for Weathers’ delay in reporting the incident.
“Just because [Weathers is] in jail doesn’t mean the case is wrapped up,” Willingham told WOTV. “We are going to continue to try to find out answers, try to find out ways this could have been prevented.”
He added, “The ‘why.’ The family deserves this. These are obviously traumatic situations. This is a nice, quiet neighborhood. Nobody expected anything like this to happen. The family didn’t expect anything like this to happen.”
Weathers was charged with first-degree murder and is still in custody.
