An individual is facing several charges in Adelaide today after allegedly stabbing a man and then attacking paramedics who were assisting him.
The incident unfolded around 1:30 pm yesterday in the south-west suburb of Netley, following emergency calls reporting a stabbing on Marion Road.
Responding officers discovered a 32-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to his legs.
He was transported to the hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
Reports indicate that upon arrival at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, a man attempted to force his way into the ambulance while brandishing a knife and issuing threats.
Fortunately, no additional stabbings occurred, and everyone remained unharmed.
The suspect fled the scene in a white Porsche, with Victoria registration plates, which was tracked to the South Eastern Freeway at Mount Osmond.
The suspect, a 27-year-old Victorian man was arrested without incident after the car was found stopped on the side of the road.
He faces numerous assault charges and is scheduled to appear in an Adelaide court today.
Police do believe the incident is not random.
