The incident took place on Monday outside a Circle K at the address mentioned above. A worker at the store reported that Ramos-Arce entered, began shouting at her, prompting her to contact her brother for assistance, as detailed in an arrest affidavit obtained by Law&Crime.
The brother reportedly showed up and confronted Ramos-Arce, and then so did the employee’s boyfriend, who tried to step between the brother and the suspect. When he did so, Ramos-Arce allegedly punched him in the face.
Ramos-Arce ran to his truck to grab a machete to “intimidate” the Circle K employee’s brother and boyfriend because they were “significantly bigger” than him, the affidavit added, causing the two men to take off running. Ramos-Arce is said to have followed them, and once he caught up, slashed the brother’s arm.
The slashing was accidental, Ramos-Arce told authorities, according to the affidavit, and he was so remorseful that he told the victim to get into his truck so they could go to the hospital because he “felt bad.”
The woman identified Ramos-Arce’s truck for Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies and they followed it to a nearby hospital, AdventHealth Kissimmee. Once deputies arrived, they found the victim’s blood and the machete in Ramos-Arce’s truck, per the affidavit, and he was arrested.
