Man arrested in country NSW after Sydney woman shot in leg

A 38-year-old is facing a litany of charges after he allegedly shot a woman in the leg in Sydney’s southwest.

The 29-year-old woman presented to Liverpool Hospital on Sunday evening with a gunshot wound in her right thigh.

Police immediately began an investigation and a crime scene was established in nearby Panania.

A suspect was then pulled over and arrested hours away in country New South Wales.

The 38-year-old was arrested after officers stopped his vehicle on the Hume Highway just south of Goulburn.

He was taken to Goulburn police station and charged with numerous firearm, domestic violence and drug offences.

He was refused bail to appear in court today.
