A man recorded videos of himself doing lewd acts while walking behind unsuspecting women at a Michigan Target and ejaculated on their coats, according to police.
The investigation began on Feb. 11 when a woman reported to a Dearborn police officer that she saw a man doing lewd acts in his white Jeep Wrangler in the Target parking lot, a press release said. Cops conducted a traffic stop of the man, identified as 31-year-old Steven Simmons of Detroit, when he left and arrested him on an indecent exposure charge.
But the investigation didn’t end there. Detectives uncovered “numerous” videos dating back to Dec. 3 of Simmons following women through the aisles of Target and ejaculating on their coats without their knowledge, police said.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office charged him with child sexually abusive material, using a computer to commit a crime, aggravated indecent exposure and indecent exposure. He’s being held at the Wayne County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He has a probable cause hearing scheduled for Feb 27.
“These incidents are disturbing and traumatic. Thanks to the quick actions of an alert community member, our officers were able to quickly apprehend this individual on-scene,” Dearborn police Chief Issa Shahin said in a statement. “We urge the community to remain observant, and ask anyone who may have witnessed the behavior from this individual to contact our department immediately.”
The crimes left shoppers at the Target store stunned.

“I come to this Target every day. I go before work and it’s really unfortunate that somebody would do something like that and violate someone,” Myisha Madison Jr. told local ABC affiliate WXYZ. “It’s scary out here. It’s dangerous. I mean you have to always look ahead of you, behind you, and around you and just stay on point and be mindful.”
